Dorm Room Bet Got Way Too Intense

So me and my roommate Tyler have this ongoing thing where we argue about literally everything. Who's faster, who's smarter, who has better taste in music. Typical dorm stuff. But last week it crossed into new territory.
We'd been at the gym together and he was flexing in the mirror (as usual) and I was like "bro, you're not even that big." He said the same thing back. Within 30 seconds we were standing in our dorm room, shirts off, doing comparison poses like we were at a bodybuilding show.
Things escalated quickly.
Our other roommate walks in, sees this, and immediately starts judging. Like literally scoring us on a 1-10 scale for arms, chest, abs. We're dead serious about it. He's dead serious about it. Nobody thinks this is weird.
Tyler "wins" arms. I take abs. Chest is a tie (controversial). So we escalate to a push-up contest. First to 50. Loser has to walk to the dining hall shirtless in February.
I lost at 43. Tyler hit 50 looking like he barely tried. The walk of shame to the dining hall at 7pm in 30°F weather was brutal. But honestly? Three girls stopped me to ask why I was shirtless and I got one of their numbers. So who really lost?

For the record I won arms AND chest. The "tie" was charity. Also he lasted 41 push-ups, not 43. He's rewriting history.

My roommate and I did this exact thing except it was a plank hold contest. I won at 4 minutes 12 seconds. He threw a pillow at me and didn't talk to me for an hour.

I was one of the girls who stopped him at the dining hall. Can confirm he looked miserable but also kind of impressive? It was 30 degrees and he was acting like nothing was wrong. Respect.

The dining hall shirtless dare in winter is a classic. At our school it's a tradition — the losing fantasy football team has to do a lap of the quad in shorts in January. It's a spectator sport at this point.
