I Clicked a Male Cam Room by Accident. Then I Stayed for 2 Hours.

Okay so this is going to sound like the most cliché "how it started" story ever, but here it is. I'm a straight guy. Girlfriend. The whole deal. I watch cam sites sometimes — sue me. Always the female section. Always.

Last Tuesday night I was on Chaturbate, browsing, and I must have hit the wrong filter because suddenly the entire page was dudes. My first instinct was to close the tab. Obviously.

But one of the thumbnails caught my eye. Not in a "I'm attracted to this" way — more like "this dude is in a full Spider-Man suit doing push-ups, what the hell?" Curiosity clicked in before I could stop it.

Down the Rabbit Hole

The Spider-Man guy was hilarious. Chat was going nuts. People were tipping him to do increasingly absurd exercises. He had this whole comedy bit going. It felt more like watching a weird Twitch stream than anything sexual.

After that I clicked on another room. Then another. Some were more sexual, sure. But a lot of them were just... dudes hanging out. Shirtless guy playing guitar. Two roommates daring each other to do stuff (sound familiar?). A gym bro showing his workout routine.

Two hours. I was in there for two hours before I realized how much time had passed.

The Weird Part

The weird part isn't that I watched. The weird part is how normal it felt. Nobody was forcing anything. The vibe in most rooms was just... chill. Guys being guys, some with their shirts off, some being more exhibitionist about it. The chat was a mix of everyone — women, gay guys, curious guys like me.

I don't know what I expected male cam rooms to be like, but it wasn't this. It wasn't all hardcore. A lot of it was genuinely entertaining.

I've gone back three times since. I still watch the female side too. I just... also watch this now. And I'm trying not to overthink what that means.
